Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Sudhaar collects, why it is used, what becomes public, and the choices available to you.
1. About Sudhaar
Sudhaar is an independent community platform for reporting non-emergency public issues in India. It is not a government authority, police service, emergency service, or official complaint-delivery agent.
2. Information we process
A photo complaint includes its category, title, description, city or town, locality, nearby public landmark, status, support count, a privacy-protected current-condition image, and a labelled AI improvement. Public reports show only the public complaint fields.
Private systems may temporarily store a metadata-free original photo, AI-attempt details, a one-way hash of a random device key, duplicate and anti-spam fingerprints, feedback, flags, moderation decisions, and audit records. Your browser may locally store the device key, supported-report list, report-status snapshot, and unfinished draft.
3. What we do not ask for
Sudhaar does not ask for Aadhaar, a phone number, email address, full name, or exact movement history. Raw IP addresses are not used as user identities or stored in Sudhaar's product tables. Hosting and network providers may still create limited security or operational logs under their own policies.
Do not submit faces, vehicle numbers, private addresses, contact details, private conversations, or information identifying a victim or alleged offender.
4. How information is used and shared
Information is used to create and rank community reports, prevent spam, show status updates, suggest a likely official service, answer feedback, and operate safety review. Report text, approximate public location, status, support, a privacy-protected current-condition image, and a labelled AI improvement can be public.
The unprocessed original remains private. The app automatically prepares a privacy-protected copy for AI generation and publication with the complaint. Sudhaar does not sell report data or use contributor photos to train models. A report is not sent to an authority unless the app clearly says that delivery occurred and shows supporting evidence.
5. Retention and security
Private original photos and AI outputs are scheduled for deletion after seven days by default. Public reports and status history may remain until removed, withdrawn, or no longer needed. Anti-abuse and audit records may be kept for the minimum period reasonably needed to protect the service and resolve complaints.
Sudhaar uses private object storage, access controls, one-way hashes, bounded inputs, and privacy checks. No system is perfectly secure, and automated face or text detection can miss details; you must review every image before submitting.
6. Your choices
You can browse and submit without creating a social account, review the AI improvement and use the single retry before submission, clear device-local data through your browser, flag a public report, or use Feedback to request correction or removal. Removing browser data can also remove access to this browser's report history.
7. Children, changes, and contact
Do not submit identifying information about a child. If you are under 18, use Sudhaar with a parent or guardian. This policy may change when features, providers, or law change; the updated date will be shown here.
For privacy, takedown, or grievance requests, use Feedback in the app and select the closest reason. A dedicated domain email will be added after the Sudhaar domain is active. Do not include unnecessary personal information in the request.
8. Location data
With your browser permission, Sudhaar can read the device's current latitude, longitude, accuracy and capture time for the issue location. Only the complaint location is used; Sudhaar does not continuously track the device or build a movement history.
The stored and public pin is rounded before saving: normally to roughly 10 metres, and to roughly 100 metres for sensitive categories. City and locality remain contributor-confirmed. If device location is unavailable, a manually entered location may be published as unverified. Location and category are used only to suggest a likely authority; they do not prove official jurisdiction.
